Islam is the world's second largest religion, after Christianity. Indonesia is the largest Muslim country, with large Muslim populations also being found in South Asia, the Middle East, Central and south East Asia, ans Sub-Saharan Africa. Muslim communities exist in most countries of the world.
Sunni Islam and Shia Islam
Muslims belong to two denominations, Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims. Sunni Muslims make up the majority of Muslims, approximately 80-90%.
